Downtown Raleigh Retailers Get a “Taste” of Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week

RALEIGH, NC (August 9, 2016)  –  The Downtown Raleigh Alliance is adding retailers to the menu during Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week.  For one night only on Friday, August 19, participating retailers will keep their doors open late, until 9 pm, so customers can “Dine + Shop.”

The shops will offer specials that night, ranging anywhere from free wine to appetizer spreads to deep discounts.

Both event organizers and retailers hope Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week can give a downtown a boost beyond its many eateries.

“In order to capitalize on the success of Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week, we decided to try something new and ask retailers to stay open into the evening when diners would be downtown,” said Stacey Simeone, Marketing Director for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. “We really want the community to experience downtown’s unique and growing shopping scene.”

“Downtown Raleigh has become a key dining destination and we hope that it will soon become known for its retail, too. The Dine + Shop night will be a great opportunity for diners to walk around downtown, enjoy extended store hours, and discover the unique offerings that locally owned and independent retailers are bringing to the area,” says Port of Raleigh Owner, Ana Maria Munoz.

Participating Retailers include: Deco Raleigh, Devolve Moto, Dogwood Collective, Edge of Urge, Feelgoodz, Front Row Cosmetics, Gypsy Jule, Lee Hansley Gallery, Port of Raleigh, Quercus Studio, The Raleigh Wine Shop, Ramble Supply Co., Retro Modern Furnishings, Runologie, Scentsuosity, and Videri Chocolate Factory with more to come.
